Partners have a LOT of things running through their minds. At times, you just want someone to listen as you speak about what is going on on the inside. Someone that can relate to the crazy thoughts we know will eventually pass. You have the freedom to use whatever language you need to get it out. You do not need to explain or try to rationalize the conversation, I do not need to understand nor need to know more than you share. You are free to just be. Free to cry, scream, laugh, be sarcastic as you want or you can choose to be as quiet as you want and just have someone sit in time with you as your feelings pass. This is your time, your session, and it will look different for everyone.
You are in complete control of telling me how I can best support you. On the request form, you will have the option to request me to walk you through some deep breathing exercises and or prayer or other suggestions for towards the end of the call. You can also choose to have the entire call dedicated to deep breathing, prayers, and other relaxation techniques that have worked for me in the past.
